Shaurabh Nandy, PhD

Head of Applied AI

Shaurabh leads product and algorithm design at Foxbat Research. His research on social synchrony in the financial markets led to the invention of the core algorithms that power the HerdForce platform.

Shaurabh holds a BS in Software Engineering (AI Track), MS in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience (Computational Modeling track), and a PhD in the area of Theoretical/Computational Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas. During his PhD, Shaurabh developed a state-of-the-art machine learning framework for understanding human brain networks, advised by leading researcher and podcaster, Dr. Richard Golden.

Vishal Patel

Head of Data Science

Vishal leads data science and engineering at Foxbat Research. He forged his skills at multiple F50 companies where he has developed and scaled machine learning models into production systems with millions of users.

Previously, as Head of Business Development at Wikipedia, he built strategic partnerships with Google, Nokia, Vodafone, and Microsoft. Vishal holds a BS in Biomedical Sciences, MS in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technologies from the University of South Florida, and a MS in Applied Cognition & Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas. Vishal also has 10+ yrs of experience trading and investing in equities and options.

Richard M. Golden, Ph.D.

Cognitive Scientist, UT Dallas

Dr. Richard M. Golden is a full-time Professor of Cognitive Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Golden has published over 75 articles in scientific journals in the areas of theoretical statistical machine learning and statistical machine learning applications, is the author of the book Statistical Machine Learning: A Unified Framework, and created the Learning Machines 101 podcast series on artificial intelligence.

Leading security researcher Vishwath Mohan

Vishwath Mohan, Ph.D.

Computer Scientist, Google

Dr. Vishwath Mohan is a leading security researcher working in the Android Platform Security team at Google. Dr. Mohan's research is focused on automated program rewriting for offensive and defensive purposes. Some of this research has been featured in the Economist, New Scientist, and Wired. At Android, he blends his approach with other state-of-the-art security research to keep the 3 billion+ Android user ecosystem secure.

Vishal Acharya, Ph.D.

Rocket Scientist, Georgia Tech

Dr. Vishal Acharya is a senior research engineer and associate director at the aerospace combustion lab in Georgia Tech. Dr. Acharya’s research spans combustion systems ranging from solid rocket motors to gas turbines. His expertise lies in reduced order modeling, statistical methods for data-based learning, and simulations for unsteady combustion & fluid mechanic phenomena in gas turbines for both power generation and propulsion applications
